EVERYTHING FLOWS

International championship alliance completes world class metro tunnel project in Doha in record time.

111 KILOMETER IN 26 MONTHS – WORLD RECORD MISSION COMPLETED

Out of nowhere, almost unnoticed underground, an epoch-making structure is created in Doha. With a total of 111 kilometers a top-class metro tunnel project. The protagonists of the prestige project: Qatar Rail, four international construction joint ventures and 21 EPB Shields from Herrenknecht.

Together they realize a highly complex, extremely ambitious undertaking that seeks its equal worldwide. After 26 months of tightly directed tunnelling flow, it was successfully completed with the final breakthrough on September 25, 2016.

FLOW³

MULTITASKING IN PERFECTION

Precise, on schedule, synchronous: 21 tunnel boring machines were needed to drive the mega project forward on three metro lines. Under the direction of Qatar Rail, four international joint ventures delivered an unprecedented tunnelling rally under enormous time pressure with the highest standards of safety.

Follow the tunnel borers on their journey through time. Witness a new benchmark on an international scale: Flow³.
